C-, Ku-, and Ka-band are broad engineering labels. They do not by themselves establish an allocation, licence, channel, direction, or usable service.
Band-label boundaries

| Ku-band | Multiple fixed- and broadcasting-satellite allocations use this label; it does not identify a legal channel or direction. |
| Ka-band | This label covers multiple higher-frequency allocations; terminal, feeder-link, gateway, and service assignments must be distinguished. |
Use the applicable ITU Region, national frequency table, licence, operator access plan, and equipment documentation for exact frequencies.
